Yea prices similar to other sales but quality weaner steers trade dearer

Cattle prices at the Yea store sale on Friday were in line with those seen at other sales this week, but weaner steers traded dearer in places, according to agents.

Nutrien, Elders, Victoria Livestock & Property, and Alex Scott & Staff (ASS) agents yarded approximately 2500 cattle.

Elders Yea branch manager Andrew Hill said it was a "pretty good line up", with a number of feature drafts.

"It was a very good sale," he said.
