Rain strengthens Yea cattle market as 'new kids on the block' bid strongly

The "new kid on the block" cleaned up at Yea's second store cattle sale of the month.


Victorian Livestock and Property buyers were active from the start of the sale, where 1729 head of steers, heifers and cows and calves were yarded by VLP, Alex Scott & Staff and Elders.


Rounding out the buying gallery were Miller, Whan & John, Mount Gambier, SA, Northern Victoria Livestock, Echuca, Corcoran Parker, Wangaratta, and Schubert Boers, Albury, NSW.


Outcross reported steers sold to a top of $2850 a head, while heifers reached $2440.
