Yea follows state-wide market correction, dropping by up to $250 a head

Prices at the Yea store cattle sale have followed the softening trend experienced at other markets around Victoria this week.


Nutrien, Elders, Victorian Livestock and Property and Alex Scott & Staff agents sold 2442 steers, heifers, cows and calves.


Steers sold to a top of $3110 a head, while the best heifers made $2550 and cows and calves sold to $2825.


Nutrien auctioneer Austin Gerhardy said the market could have been down by $150-$250 in some places compared to the last sale.
