Steers and heifers went to a wide spread of buyers across Victoria and NSW as prices took another jump at the monthly Yea store sale.
Agents from Nutrien, Elders, Victorian Livestock and Property (VLP) and Alex Scott & Staff sold 1480 steers, heifers and cows and calves.
Steers sold to a top of $2840, while the best price for heifers was $2570.
Nutrien auctioneer Austin Gehardy, Yea, said there was strong demand from buyers, which resulted in lighter cattle being $150-$200 a head dearer than the last sale.
