Prices were up to $200 a head dearer at the Yea store sale than last month, according to Yea-based Victorian Livestock & Property director Ryan Sergeant.
Agents yarded almost 1800 head of cattle on Friday.
"I think the sale exceeded expectations quite considerably in all areas," Mr Sergeant said.
"Prices went up every part of $200 a head or more in some spots."
Mr Sergeant said there was a larger buying gallery compared to last month.
Locals looking to restock, along with commission buyers and feedlots were active.
