Gippsland livestock agents among the big buyers at Yea store cattle sale

A strong contingent of Gippsland agents put a floor in the Yea store sale, a market comprising largely lighter steers and heifers.


Agents from Nutrien, Alex Scott & Staff, Elders and Victorian Livestock & Property offered 2267 steers, heifers and cows and with calves at foot on Friday, April 10.


Outcross reported steers sold to a top of $3200 a head, while the highest price for heifers was $2390.


Cows with calves at foot made a top of $3450 a unit.
