Victorian buyers provided the strongest support at the Yea store cattle sale on Friday, with steers and heifers going to Gippsland, the south-west, north and local areas.

Among the Gippsland buyers were representatives of Alex Scott & Staff, Warragul, South Gippsland Livestock, Leongatha, and Elders Delaney Livestock and Property, Pakenham.

Northern Victorian Livestock (NVL), Shepparton, Corcoran Parker, Wodonga, and agents from Euroa, Yea and Alexandra were also active.

A buyer for Thomas Foods International bought heavier steers and Miller, Whan & John, Mount Gambier, SA, picked up heifers, as did a buyer for Westside, Bacchus Marsh.
