This is a FREE community event inviting everyone to come together for a special movie screening that celebrates the strength of rural communities and importantly brings awareness and spark important conversations about mental health.


Just a Farmer is a heartfelt and powerful film that captures the resilience, struggles, and triumphs of rural life. Through an emotional yet inspiring narrative, the film sheds light on the challenges faced by farmers and their families—exploring themes of mental health, community support, and the unbreakable bond between people and the land they work on.


This is more than just a story—it’s a movement to bring awareness, spark important conversations, and celebrate the strength of rural communities.


Mental health in rural communities is often overlooked, and starting conversations can be tough. Just a Farmer screenings provide a safe space to bring these issues to light and foster real connections.


This event is not just for farmers, this movie is for everyone.

Just a Farmer is an award winning film shot in Western Victoria. This inspiring movie explores themes of love, loss and the undeniable resilience of a farming community in the face of tragedy.


Join us for a discussion after the film with special guest Leila McDougall (Just a Farmer film producer, writer & lead actor) and Warren Davies - The Unbreakable Farmer.


Supper and a cuppa provided after the film discussion with time to connect as a community.
