Leading Gippsland auctioneer Alex Scott & Staff agent David Setches has acknowledged some store markets are facing a minor "correction".
ASC was joined at its stand-alone Yea store sale by Chris Stanley Livestock, Don Valley, in offering 540 head of steers, heifers and cows and calves.
Mr Setches said today's market had fallen, with prices also dipping at Mortlake, although this week's Leongatha sale was quoted as "firm".
"The heifers were making as much as they have anywhere around the traps - but we didn't really have any weaner steers and the feeder cattle, between 420-560kg, made from 330-350 cents a kilogram," he said.
