An Elders Alexandra agent has led the fundraising efforts of almost $150,000 to help improve farmer health.

Andrew Embling, who previously ran his own company Embling Rural, now works for Elders and has spent more than 50 years as a livestock agent.

In February, Mr Embling spotted a need for better resources to support local hospitals' engagement and outreach with farmers.

A team from the Yea and District Memorial Hospital has been attending Yea's monthly store sales in recent months.

Nurses and doctors have been carrying out blood tests and mental health check-ins for farmers.
